BCN Financial was started in 1987 by Jeff Bratzler and Dawn Hale. We work in the following areas:
- Estate planning (trusts & wills)
- CalPERS assistance – everything from general questions, filling out forms, retirement applications, etc.
- We are a Registered Investment Advisor and assist with management of investments such as 457s, 401(k)s, etc.
- Full brokerage services for our clients’ investment accounts
- Life insurance products to meet the needs of each individual client.
For revocable living trusts, our standard fee is $925 which includes the trust itself, pour over wills for both spouses, as well as powers of attorney for property & powers of attorney for health care decisions for both spouses. Excluding marriage and divorce, changes and updates to the trust are done free of charge because we don’t want fees to stand in the way of keeping a family’s trust up to date. We provide an active investment management service we call BCN Advantage. Through this program we can manage investments of our clients to ensure they are properly positioned for the market conditions at hand. For assets managed “in place” such as 457 plans or a spouse’s 401(k), we charge a one time setup fee of $350 and a flat fee of $45 per month thereafter for the management. I have attached both the most recent annual report from that plan as well as an article explaining our strategies and investment philosophy. This article covers specifically the period of 2007-2010 when there were intrinsic problems with the markets that culminated in the 2008 recession.
