Modesto Police Officers Association announces endorsements in November 7, 2017 Modesto City Council races

Sept. 26, 2017 - - Several Modesto City Council district seats are up for elections on Nov. 7, 2017 and the Modesto Police Officers Association (MPOA) is pleased to announce the endorsements of Bill Zoslocki for District 4 and Jenny Kenoyer for District 5. The MPOA has not made an endorsement at this time for District 2. All of the candidates for city council who sought our endorsement were sent a Candidate Questionnaire that asked questions such as the candidate’s priorities, issues within the city and their vision for the future of the city. The candidates then met with the MPOA for an interview. After reviewing the questionnaires and meeting with the candidates in person the MPOA made its endorsements.

District 4 comprises a large portion of southeast Modesto including the La Loma area, El Vista area, Sonoma area and the Creekside area. Bill Zoslocki is currently the councilman for this district seat and is seeking re-election. Mr. Zoslocki is endorsed by the MPOA. He is a successful businessman in our community and truly understands the importance of public safety to the city, the community and our local businesses. He believes that city government’s priority is to protect its citizens. A safe community will attract more businesses and promote job growth. He also strongly believes in fixing the city infrastructure.

District 5 comprises a large portion of north central Modesto and the upper McHenry Corridor. Jenny Kenoyer is currently the councilwoman for this district seat and is endorsed by MPOA. Jenny Kenoyer has always been in the fore front in meeting the community’s needs from public safety and ensuring safety within the community. She understands that a safe community will promote commerce and bring businesses to this community. She strongly believes in working together for the betterment of our city.

Please join us in support of Bill Zoslocki and Jenny Kenoyer.
