Modesto Police, New Patches in April

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. According to the Centers for Disease Control, autism affects an estimated 1 in 59 children in the United States today. 


The Modesto Police Officer's Association and the Office of the Chief of Police of Modesto, have announced MPD Officers will be sporting their new Autism Awareness patch for the entire month of April in recognition of National Autism Awareness day, April 2, 2020. As part of the recognition, officers were allowed to purchase the specially designed patch with all proceeds going to Autism Speaks. Show your support and help raise awareness.
